You must take the information you gathered from the internet about your animal’s taxonomy and turn it into an illustration similar to this one but featuring your animal.

To make the poster you have the 3 below options, but any you choose must meet the same requirements.
  1. Create an account at Glogster.com and create a poster using their tools and images of your organisms from the internet. Save it and give me the link to your poster
  2. Create a poster by hand using a poster board and your own drawings or computer print outs
  3. Use Prezi.com to make a presentation that zooms in on each level successively and for each level, you must have the information asked for below

Whichever product you choose to make it must have

1. A large eye catching title
“Taxonomy of animal’s common name
And in parenthesis beneath
(Scientific Name)

2. A row going across for each level of classification starting with Kingdom that shows an image and the name of other animals in that group
Each row must have:
  • Kingdom- At least 6 other animals
  • Phylum- At least 5 other animals
  • Class- At least 4 other animals
  • Order- At least 3 other animals
  • Genus- At least 2 or 3
  • Species- Just YOUR animal


3. Each level of classification needs a description containing at least 3 characteristics of that group written in complete sentences featured near the graphic for that level
